Limited License Period For University Of Florida Grasses Now Open
FORT PIERCE, Florida (Thursday, June 14, 2005): The initial Florida licensing period for four new turfgrasses is now open through August 31, 2005. Florida Sod Producers may now sign up as licensed growers of any of four new turfgrasses offered by Environmental Turf. Three of the new grasses were developed by the University of Florida.
During this limited time offer, the grasses are available at a combined discount fee. Pleas call for details.
- The grasses offered for license are:
UltimateFlora™ Zoysia: It’s not just good, it’s The Ultimate! Great for residential lawns and common areas. Use anywhere you’d use St. Augustine. Medium texture, deep green color, barefoot feel. Chinch bug resistant. Faster growing than many other zoysias. More crops per year than standard. We have grown up to 1-1/2 to 2 crops per year. Developed by University of Florida.
- PristineFlora™ Zoysia: New fine-textured zoysia for golf and ornamental use. Faster growing than many other zoysias. More crops per year than standard. We have grown up to 1-1/2 to 2 crops per year. Developed by University of Florida.
- Hammock™ Centipede: Extremely low maintenance, heat tolerance allows it to be grown in hot climates. Deep green color. We have grown up to one to 1-1/2 crops per year. Developed by University of Florida.
- DeltaShade™ St. Augustine: True shade tolerance. We have grown up to one to 1-1/2 crops per year. Tested for cold tolerance as far north as Central Tennessee.
